The WONDER of it all

I've had some folk asking for another collection of WONDERS we have seen thus far and today seemed a good evening to share some.  Some you've seen, and some you might not have.

My first WONDER is still TOM.  Tom our precious Golden Cherry tomato.  He hasn't produced any fruit in about two weeks but he has some great new flowers and we just know he's comin' back!

The wonder? Still that I have NOT killed him!

We stayed in camp by Barber Lake most of the day today, except for washing the laundry and lunch in Medicine Lodge. But that's only two miles away from our camp. This afternoon we discovered some neighbors at the lake. Well, actually, ON the lake,

Which was fine, even when one spotted my camera and got the heck outta Dodge!

"You ain't puttin' my mug on FACEBOOK! QUAAAACK"

Then another neighbor appeared, about a quarter mile across the lake.  It's a camping family Jenn C and I know they must be as active as your family because I can hear their young baby crying for dinner as I type.  Grace S and Jenn C, I think Baby needs some MOMMY time! You guys know what I mean.

And finally a last burst of God's golden sunlight on the eastern shore across from our parking spot. We pay nothing at Kansas fishing lakes since there are no hookups.  But what would a camper give to park his rig or pitch her tent with a view like this from camp?

So the WONDERS of today have included all of the above in the midst of high temps and humidity (Its supposed to stay in the 100 range from now all through next week in Southern Kansas and Missouri). We're keeping our grandson Kaream in prayer as we head east to see him graduate from Army basics at Fort Leonard Wood the end of August. My dad said summer at Fort Wood for his basics in 1942 was awful.  And no one says any different who knows today.

Now for a few of God's WONDERS we've seen since the last batch!

And perhaps the most amazing WONDER of all...

The return from almost complete devastation in 2007 of the town of Greensburg, Kansas after a tornado killed 11 and seriously injured over 60 neighbors of this small county seat and farm community.
